PARTNER CONTENT: Arbor School Dubai is celebrating a landmark achievement this academic year, as its first-ever graduating cohort has collectively secured more than USD $1 million (AED 3.67 million) in university scholarships from leading institutions across the UK, US, Europe and the UAE – with more coming in every day.

The milestone marks a significant moment not only for Arbor’s British Sixth Form, but for Dubai’s education landscape, as this young school demonstrates the academic strength and talent of its inaugural Year 13 cohort.

Arbor’s students have earned highly competitive offers and scholarships across fields including Medicine, Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Sports Science and Fashion – reflecting their outstanding achievement and the school’s commitment to personalised post-16 pathways.

Student success stories

Alexander Renner, who secured eight offers across the US and UAE in Business, Entrepreneurship and Analytics – and more than a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of scholarships, said: “Arbor has taught me independence, resilience and the value of hard work. Receiving my offers showed me how far dedication and support can take you.”

Lina Wen, who received almost a quarter of a million dollars’ worth of scholarships to study Fashion and Art at multiple US universities, praised the school’s higher education and industry access, adding.

“Through Arbor inviting universities, I’ve been able to create meaningful connections that allowed me to gain feedback on my submission materials. I’ve been exposed to real-life fashion professionals that review my work and show me how the industry works.”

Julieta Luengo, who earned offers in Environmental and Civil Engineering across the UK, US and Europe, credits Arbor’s challenge and inspiration. “Arbor pushed me beyond my comfort zone,” she said. “Meeting people like Jane Goodall and Isatou Ceesay shaped who I am today.”

Anna Thompson, who received offers from top-ranked UK universities to study Psychology, described this as the reward for years of effort.

“Arbor has transformed my confidence in both my academic ability and my personal growth,” she said. “My offers feel like a reflection of what I’ve achieved here.”

Sixth Form built for global futures

The achievement is driven by Arbor’s distinctive Sixth Form model, which integrates A Levels, BTECs, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and Arbor’s bespoke Futures Counselling Programme.

Students receive personalised guidance from Year 9 onwards, alongside work placements at top UAE employers including Microsoft, Nova Pharma, Cundall Engineering and major hospitality groups.

Principal Gemma Thornley said: “For our very first graduating class to earn more than one million dollars in scholarships is extraordinary. It reflects their drive, character and the strength of a Sixth Form built to prepare young people for global success.”

With additional offers and scholarship decisions still being released, Arbor expects this figure to continue rising over the coming weeks.

Arbor School, recently named the World’s Best School for Environmental Action 2025, continues to establish itself as one of Dubai’s most innovative British curriculum schools, blending academic excellence with a future-focused, sustainability-driven educational model.
