Every last Friday and Saturday of each month, Louvre Abu Dhabi hosts a Family Weekend that offers a range of activities for families.
The activities in every month are inspired by a different theme. This month, the themed activities for the whole family are inspired by the new Children’s Museum exhibition: A Costume Adventure.
Enjoy storytelling and mini tours, take part in a drop-in puppet-making workshop or watch a puppet show in the Children’s Museum reading area and more.
All activities are free with your museum admission ticket.

Take an interactive journey through the Children’s Museum and discover the wardrobes of history through our mini tour.
Drop-In Family Workshop: Make a Puppet

Drop in for a puppet-making workshop and make your own to take home.
Activity Booklet

Join a guide and use our specially designed activity booklet to learn about the costumes of characters found in some of the museum’s artworks in the permanent collections.

Enjoy a puppet show upstairs in the Children’s Museum and listen to wonderful tales.

Taking inspiration from the exhibition, Rendezvous in Paris: Picasso, Chagall, Modigliani & Co. (1900 – 1939), family films teach children about the inspiration and ideas that create modern masterpieces. Curated by Rinku Awtani.

Following three characters who escape from their unfinished painting to look for the artist who created them, The Painting is an animated feature that pays homage to the work of Chagall, Picasso, Modigliani and Matisse.
