The Signature 3, the latest creative brainwave from The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, was well worth the wait…
Due to the coronavirus, it had been many months since the Yalla team had the opportunity to dine out and try the latest foodie concept and the best part of this concept is that, in keeping with its name, it combines the signature dishes from three of the restaurants at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort: Sontaya (south-east Asian cuisine), Buddha-Bar Beach (Pacific Rim cuisine) and Mazi (Greek cuisine), so you can choose from three styles of cuisine in one sitting. Mix-and match, stay with one cuisine – do as you wish!
Having spent the last few months cooking three meals a day for a hungry family, a night off was an absolute treat and The Signature 3 was the perfect place to relax. The restaurant is situated next to The Drawing Room with tables carefully spaced to ensure social distancing rules are adhered to. We started dinner with the Tuna Maki Roll and Chicken Satay, both of which were delicious and followed with the Thai Green Prawn Curry and Bass Fillet. The depth of flavours of both were intense, and the balance of acidity and spice perfect. We finished with the stunning (both in taste and appearance) Lemon Meringue Tart, topped with real gold flakes. It was chosen from one of the many indulgent pastries on offer from The Drawing Room, although we could have chosen other signature desserts from the menu.
The Signature 3 is a great concept and a must try – a great way to combine the best of three fantastic restaurants. We will definitely be back!
