Fight against climate change intensifies in Dubai

Dubai unveils plans to improve water conservation

Authorities are hoping this new measure will make a big difference

In line with events taking place for the ‘Year of Sustainability’ in the UAE it has recently been announced that Dubai will reuse 100 per cent of its water by 2030.

In a campaign that was unveiled by Dubai Municipality the city is also aiming to limit desalinated water and related power consumption by 30 per cent.

The initiative currently reuses 90 per cent of water, which saves more than AED 2 billion on an annual basis.

Acknowledging that water conservation is vital to improving conservation methods, authorities are hoping this new measure will make a big difference as the fight against climate change intensifies.
