Now is the time to start making plans around the school holidays in Dubai
The summer break has come to an end and just like that students up and down the country are back in their classrooms.
Although parents will be happy to get their kids back into routine for the next few weeks it is never too early to start looking ahead at the next school holiday.
So, what’s the next big date on the calendar? When’s the next school holiday?
Dubai’s school holidays generally follow a consistent schedule each year, unlike the UAE public holidays, which can vary.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) sets the holiday calendar for all private schools in Dubai, ensuring uniformity across the board.
The academic year in Dubai traditionally kicks off in late August or early September and wraps up in late June.
For 2024, most students waved goodbye to school on Friday, 28 June, marking the start of the eagerly awaited summer holidays.
Now, they’re back in session as of today, 26 August. But let’s have a quick look at when students can expect to be able to take some time off soon.
