Dubai and Abu Dhabi topped the polls in relation to the best places to work remotely

The cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi have come out on top in a recent survey which highlights the top spots around the world for long-term remote workers.

Dubai retained its position as the top destination from last year while Abu Dhabi climbed two places into second in the Savills Executive Nomad Index.

This latest news solidifies both cities’ reputation as the best places to live globally, adding to their recent recognition as being heralded as the safest places to reside.

This marks the UAE’s dominance, holding the top two spots among 25 destinations ideal for long-term remote workers.

The index highlights cities with digital nomad visa programs or equivalent, offering a high quality of life, prime residential markets, and favorable climates.

Dubai’s global business hub status and livability make it the leading choice for executive nomads, especially with its robust air connectivity.

The city’s one-year visa programme and modern infrastructure attract professionals seeking to work remotely in a vibrant, luxury environment.

Abu Dhabi also excels with its high living standards and ultra-modern infrastructure, further bolstered by the city’s focus on creating a thriving business environment.

Other cities in the top 10 include Málaga, Miami, Lisbon, and Barcelona. Newcomers to the 2024 index include Cape Town, Grenada, and Bali, reflecting a broader appeal for destinations that offer a mix of affordability, safety, and quality amenities.
