Sailgp Announces Long-Term Title Partner With Rolex

SailGP CEO Sir Russell Coutts shared his excitement at the launch of the new season

As the 2025 Rolex Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix sets sail this weekend, fans worldwide are gearing up for a season that promises to redefine the sport of sailing.

Kicking off with the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix presented by P&O Marinas on 23-24 November, the championship heralds a new era with Rolex stepping in as the first-ever Title Partner.

SailGP CEO, Sir Russell Coutts, shared his excitement at the launch of the new season in Dubai this week:

“With the 2025 season about to get underway in Dubai, I want to thank you for your support; whether you’ve followed SailGP from the start or are new to our sport.

“The dawn of the Rolex SailGP Championship marks a new era in our sport; a testament to a shared pursuit of excellence, both on and off the water. Rolex’s heritage of performance and precision perfectly complements SailGP’s mission to redefine the sport of sailing.”

A vision realised

Founded in 2019 by Larry Ellison and Russell Coutts, SailGP has revolutionised the sport, transforming it into an annual, global championship that races in iconic cities worldwide.

With 12 national teams, a growing roster of male and female athletes, and the sport’s largest bonus prize pool, the league has become a marquee event on the global sporting calendar.

“Our aim was to widen the appeal of the sport to a much broader audience of racing and sports fans,” added Coutts. “Heading into our fifth season, SailGP has grown tremendously, and the 2025 season is shaping up to be our best yet.”

Rolex takes the helm

The expanded partnership with Rolex reflects SailGP’s ascent to elite status. The Swiss watchmaker, synonymous with achievement and precision, will lend its name to the Rolex SailGP Championship and continue as Official Timepiece through Season 14.

Enhanced fan experience

From redesigned broadcast graphics to immersive digital content, fans can look forward to a premium viewing experience. The new branding will also debut at the Race Stadium at Mina Rashid this weekend, setting the stage for the most exciting season yet.
