Dust, rain and chilly breezes have been forecasted by the NCM as the UAE braces for dramatic weather twist
Get ready to batten down the hatches!
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a heads-up for potential wild weather brewing across the UAE from Wednesday through Friday.
A clash of atmospheric titans; a low-pressure system swooping in from the east and a jet stream turbocharging from the west; will stir up an eventful mix of dust storms, rain and tumbling temperatures.
Cloudy skies and showers incoming
Starting late Wednesday night, residents in western areas will notice clouds gathering as they creep toward the coasts, islands, and some northern and eastern regions.
By Thursday, skies may open up, with a good chance of rainfall bringing a refreshing break from the usual dry spell.
However, the weather drama will begin to settle by mid-day Friday as clouds clear out, leaving behind cooler temperatures.
Winds whip up dust and rough seas
Strong southeasterly to northeasterly winds will shift to northwesterly as the week progresses, occasionally whipping up to strong gusts, particularly over the sea.
These winds are set to stir up plenty of dust and sand, leading to moments of reduced visibility, so take extra care on the roads.
As temperatures drop and the skies shift, the UAE is in for an exciting weather ride this week.
Stay safe, plan ahead and keep an umbrella handy; you might just need it!
