The GEMS School of Research and Innovation is set to open in Dubai in August
GEMS Education has announced the launch of its “most innovative school to date”; the GEMS School of Research and Innovation is scheduled to open in Dubai Sports City in August 2025.
Built with an investment of $100 million (AED 367 million), the school aims to be one of the world’s top private schools by blending groundbreaking technology with an enriched British curriculum for future-ready students.
Annual fees will range from AED 116,000 for pupils in FS1 to AED 206,000 in Year 12, making GEMS School of Research and Innovation the most expensive school in the UAE, designed for families seeking a premium educational experience.
Key facilities include:
- Sports: Olympic-sized swimming pool, professional gymnastics centre, and world-class cricket, football, and athletics facilities.
- Arts: A 600-seat 2-tier auditorium and dedicated spaces for classical dance, musical theatre, and contemporary arts.
- Technology: Robotics and disruption labs, immersive AR and VR-enabled learning centres, AI research facilities, and an esports hub.
Partnerships and innovation
The school will partner with global tech leaders like Microsoft, HP, Apple, and Plug and Play Tech Center to develop entrepreneurial skills and integrate real-world applications into its curriculum.
Students will explore AI, robotics, esports, and game design early on alongside specialist subjects such as business, engineering, arts, and languages.
Through the GEMS for Life Programme, students can connect with schools worldwide, participate in UNESCO conferences, and gain access to top universities and employers.
Beyond academics, the “super co-curriculum” aims to nurture talents across STEM, sports, and the arts. Extended-day programmes include gymnastics, swimming, robotics, and street performance.
