Some employees to benefit from remote and adjusted schedules

Under the new policy, eligible government employees will be allowed to work remotely for up to two days per week.

In addition, those working in offices will follow an adjusted schedule, with work hours set at five-and-a-half hours per day from Monday to Thursday and just three hours on Fridays.

This decision follows a similar announcement by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, which granted public sector workers across the UAE a reduced Ramadan schedule.

Ministries and federal agencies will also have the option to implement flexible or remote work arrangements where applicable.

The private sector will also benefit from reduced hours during Ramadan, as confirmed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Private sector employees will be entitled to work two hours less than their usual schedule throughout the month, ensuring a more balanced routine during this significant period.

Dubai’s commitment to flexible work policies during Ramadan reflects the emirate’s dedication to employee well-being while maintaining productivity.

With these adjustments, both public and private sector workers can observe Ramadan traditions while meeting their professional responsibilities.
