Naia Island elevates Dubai’s luxury living, while Ras Al Khor’s project advances biodiversity and tourism
Dubai’s coastline is about to get a serious upgrade; one part five-star paradise, one part eco-friendly wonderland.
Introducing Naia Island Dubai, a brand-new luxury destination floating just off Jumeirah, near the iconic Burj Al Arab.
Announced this week by Shamal Holding, the island will feature private villas, beachfront estates, custom plots, and exclusive access to a Cheval Blanc Maison Hotel; a name that screams ultra-luxury.

The resort will boast 30 suites and 40 private pool villas, all with postcard views of Dubai’s skyline.
And yes, there’s private beach access. Construction is already underway, with doors set to open in 2029.
Dubai is also doubling down on its green goals with the redevelopment of the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, a protected wetland already home to flocks of flamingos.
The project, announced in June, is priced at AED 650 million and will roll out in two phases, with the first wrapping up by end of 2026 at a AED 100 million cost.
The goal is to boost biodiversity, draw eco-conscious tourists, and help place Dubai firmly among the world’s top three tourism destinations.
Designs will focus on the needs of both residents and travelers, creating a space that balances conservation with experience.
Dubai’s upcoming projects are serving it all; luxury, legacy, and a little bit of wilderness.
