COYA Abu Dhabi’s La Noche Blanca lights up the night

A rocking evening on Al Maryah Island.

We were told to expect a banging shindig and that is what we got at COYA Abu Dhabi

The wonderfully colourful and atmospheric venue at the Four Seasons at The Galleria Al Maryah Island with a penchant for everything Peruvian has a legendary reputation for throwing some of best themed parties you will find anywhere in the capital and La Noche Blanca (The white party) bash lived up to expectations.

Donning our finest whites (we went out and splashed the day before), Team Yalla went along on Friday evening for a night that had us reminiscing about glorious nights out pre-pandemic. The theme of the evening was ‘a night in Mykonos’ and with most attendees decked out in white, it was like a scene from a summer evening on that idyllic Greek island.

The evening kicked off with a variety of specially infused house beverages in the Pisco Bar before we made our way for what can only be described as a banquet such was the amount of food dished out to our table. The specially prepared menu was full of COYA’s specialties. We’re talking about platters of ceviches, sushi, tuna, duck rice, prawn a la chalaca sashimi, melt-in-the-mouth beef and much more as the restaurant flexed its culinary muscles.

Powering the beats to our eats were Alex Twin, DJ Eva Voytko and NSI whose talents on the spinning decks took the mood and good feelings to another level while saxophonist, Matt West, serenaded revellers as we bopped and threw some shapes from the comforts of their seats even if bellies were fit to burst with all the food.

It was a celebration to have us dreaming about when we can move freely in the city’s fine establishments once again. Until then we will be counting down the days to next party at COYA Abu Dhabi.
