Cove Beach Abu Dhabi is already known for its party time vibe where fashionistas gather every day of the week and night, including Monday evenings.
Bijoux, the name of the spectacular evening soirée, is simply a delight on every level. Firstly, the location is sublime and the perfect early week outing to add some glamour.
Then there’s the menu – all seven courses of incredible dishes that are continuously served by attentive hosts throughout the entire evening.
But that’s not all. The jewel in the crown has to be the entertainment, which is like no other.
The evening, aptly named Bijoux, surrenders professional singers who wander among diners as they savour on Yellow Tail New Style Sashimi, which bursts with flavour.
Next is Sauteed Prawns with aromatic butter, pickled fennel, Persimmon and star anise. Such a delight, they are perhaps the juiciest we’ve ever tasted and the way they were presented was nothing less than a piece of art – bravo to the chef!
Each course is punctuated with an act in all its glittering glory that interacts with diners. This time a couple tango towards the stage in a spectacular show of dance – moody, intense, alluring!
The delightful Spherical Lemon Jelly Sorbet arrives as the spotlight swings over to the far end of the pool. Attired in a sparling outfit, she somersaults through hoops above the pool while we savour the sweet-sour sorbet that cleanses one’s palette ready for the next course.
The Prime Beef tenderloin, served with fondant potatoes, wild mushrooms and chestnut puree, is surely the star of the show, as more acrobats weave their way through the tables to guests’ astonishments. To our surprise, a grand finale, apart from the fresh lemon Meringue, was when the duo head to the pool jumped straight in a memorable flash and evening to remember.
