Foo Fighters’ replacements confirmed at Yasalam after-race concerts

Race weekend reaches a crescendo today.

Don’t despair race fans because the replacements for the Foo Fighters’ at the Yasalam after-race concerts have been announced.

Superstar Dutch DJ Martin Garrix as well as France’s DJ Snake will be stepping up to the stage and spinning the decks at the final Yasalam concert of the year once the checkered flag has been waved at the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The news comes after the Foo Fighters cancelled their gig on Saturday 11 December due to “unforeseen medical circumstances”.

Previous evenings saw Khalid (Thursday), Stormzy (Friday) and Lewis Capaldi (Saturday) rock Etihad Park as the Yasalam after-race concerts returned after a year-hiatus due to the pandemic.

On the track, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will fight it out, underneath Yas Marina Circuit’s lights, to see who is crowned F1 world champion for 2021.

The Dutch driver took pole position in yesterday’s qualifying and is ahead on the standings courtesy of his nine grand prix win’s this season to Hamilton’s eight victories.
