New Year, new you? Begin 2022 with a cycling challenge in the Liwa Desert on 8 January.
Set in the shadow of the imposing Moreeb Dune, The ENEC Liwa Urban Cycling Challenge see cyclists traverse 95km of road.
Encompassing the town of Liwa (the first time in many years), the royal palace, farmlands and the aforementioned Moreeb Dune, the race is one of the most picturesque bike challenges in the UAE.
But if 95km seems too daunting, opt for the intermediate 75km race which consists of 1,500 metres of climbing.
Those wishing to take part in The ENEC Liwa Urban Cycling Challenge must present a negative PCR test result on their Al Hosn app taken within 96 hours of the event.
