Abu Dhabi’s Qasr al Watan appears on new commemorative stamps

Emirates Post Group issued 25,000 commemorative stamps and 1,000 First Day Covers.

The Emirates Post Group has unveiled commemorative stamps that celebrate Abu Dhabi’s very own Palace of the Nation, Qasr Al Watan.

Philatelists will be able to marvel the new stamp that celebrates Arabian architectural craftsmanship through Qasr Al Watan’s infusion of Islamic geometrical patterns adorned on the actual stamp.

It is reported that the Emirates Post Group is the oldest public service institution in the UAE. In collaborating with the culturally rich Qasr Al Watan, the stamp aims to further boost the cultural understanding of the United Arab Emirates through sharing with the world the history, traditions and heritage of a nation.

On 31 December, 2021, Emirates Post Group issued 25,000 commemorative stamps and 1,000 First Day Covers.
