Don’t miss one of the best Veganuary menus in Abu Dhabi

Just days left to enjoy this green feast.

For the month of January, Café 302, the popular vegan-friendly and hipster-cool restaurant-café located in Al Maha Arjaan by Rotana on Hamdan bin Mohammed Street, is offering a ‘Veganuary’ menu showcasing a variety of vegan dishes which Team Yalla had the pleasure to sample.

The menu offers much including Grilled Eggplant with Lemon Couscous, Cauliflower Steak with Arugula Pesto and a Beyond Meat Goulash, but we tucked into Roasted Butternut Squash Soup, Beyond Chicken Fajita Wrap and Spaghetti & Vegan Meat Balls.

The soup was wonderful – tasty, well-seasoned with a subtle coconut cream flavour and pieces of apple giving it a delicate sweetness. The fajita wraps, served with guacamole and tomato salsa, were excellent and the vegan meat balls were stand-out good; we reckon even the most dyed-in-the-wool carnivore would appreciate this dish such was the texture and flavour.

We finished with an indulgent Millionaire Brownie adorned with mixed toasted nuts and caramel sauce, and a lovely herbal tea with floral notes.

Guilt-free eating, from an ethical and calorie perspective (!) is wonderful, but this is a really tasty vegan offering and served by charming and attentive staff.

Sit inside and take in the fun and creative décor, or outside on the Hamdan Street terrace and watch the world go by.

Café 302 also sells premium organic groceries and kitchenware so you can eat, drink, browse and shop to your heart’s content.
