Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is getting set to change the way we enjoy the cinema when they open the UAE’s first-ever 5D cinema experience.
Cinesplash, which expects to open in June, will tell the story of the UAE’s pearl-diving past, bringing the experience to life the only way this park knows how: with high adrenaline and sheer excitement.
The story of the Legend of the Lost Pearl will be told in an ultra-immersive experience where viewers will more than watch this story, they will become a part of it. Awe-inspiring effects include spraying water, water explosions, rain, waterfalls, neck blasts and leg ticklers, water guns, waterfalls and fountains. Also, expect such atmospheric changes as ground fog, wind effects and seat vibrations mean you can feel every action on the big screen as if you were in the story.
Bianca Sammut, General Manager of Yas Waterworld, explains, “Not only are we bringing a brand new attraction in the world’s first cinematic experience to the UAE, but the other nice part about this attraction for families is the story. The cinema experience brings to life the original story of the park, the pearl and all the characters that our visitors have come to know and love; this is the emotional element of the Cinesplash.”
“Beyond the story though is an amazing experience, which we can’t wait to share with families.” Bianca adds, “The theatre has 36 seats, runs every 12 minutes and what makes it a world first is that you will be submerged in 60cm of water at the peak of the film. When the characters get wet, you’re getting wet; it’s going to be incredible to see everyone’s experience with the movie.”
