If you’re looking for something fun and unique to do in Ajman, you’re in for a treat.

From 27 to 30 July, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) is bringing us the eighth edition of the Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, and it’s packed with loads of activities and workshops.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, this festival is set to be a real highlight of the summer.

Taking place at the Emirates Hospitality Hall, this four-day event promises to be both educational and entertaining.

 

Here’s what to expect

 

Expect a mix of hands-on workshops and lively performances.

From Juffair decoration to decoupage on gypsum, there’s something for everyone.

Plus, don’t miss the performances by the Shaer band and the fun popular show “Medley.” If you’re into crafts, check out the palm grove workshop, wicker dyeing, and palm frond painting.

Got a competitive streak?

You’ll love the Mazayna Dates competition and various honey contests, featuring prizes worth a whopping AED 388,000.

Compete for the best dates and honey across categories like Youman, Khashari, Al Shishi, and many more.

Citrus lovers, there’s something for you too, with contests for the best lemons, oranges, and local citrus fruits.

The festival is more than just dates and honey.

There’s a bustling market supporting local families and small businesses, plus craft workshops that highlight the versatility of the palm tree.

Don’t miss the charity auction and traditional games for kids, all set in a family-friendly atmosphere filled with folklore songs and performances.
