‘Between the Lines’ opens at The Warehouse Gallery, Al Quoz – 20 to 30 September 2025
Internationally acclaimed Irish artist Gemma Gallagher is set to unveil her latest solo exhibition, Between the Lines, at The Warehouse Gallery in Dubai’s creative district of Al Quoz.
Running from 20 to 30 September 2025, the exhibition invites audiences into a reflective space of visual storytelling, cultural connection, and emotional resonance.
The exhibition will launch with an exclusive VIP preview on Saturday, 20 September from 6–9pm, bringing together leading voices from Dubai’s arts scene, regional collectors, and cultural tastemakers for what is expected to be one of the standout art events of the season.

Gallagher, who was named one of Etihad Airways’ Top 20 Artists in the UAE in 2024, has firmly established herself as a rising voice in the Middle Eastern and international art worlds.
Her work has previously been exhibited in Dubai, London, Dublin, and New York, and is held in private collections across the globe.

A message of unity in a divided world
Described as her most ambitious body of work to date, Between the Lines is a deeply personal and profoundly universal exploration of connection in a time of global unrest.
Drawing inspiration from centuries of poetry, scripture, and philosophy, Gallagher transforms ancient wisdom into luminous, abstract canvases.
“In a world fractured by conflict and division, I turned to the words of poets, philosophers, and spiritual teachers across cultures and centuries,” says Gallagher.
“The recurring message was both simple and moving – we are one. This work is my response to the chaos of our world. It asks: What if we remembered that our differences are small compared to what we share?”
The pieces blend visual abstraction with echoes of text – fragments of Gaelic verse, Arabic poetry, Indian scripture, Japanese haiku, Native American prayer, and classical philosophy – creating a timeless dialogue across faiths, languages, and traditions.
Art that transcends language
Though rooted in language, Between the Lines dissolves words into visual form. Each painting invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and engage with the essence of unity.
The result is a series of artworks that are not only visually arresting but also emotionally and intellectually stirring.
In the words of gallery curator Lina Mazari, “This is not just an exhibition, it’s an experience.
Gallagher’s work bridges cultures, eras, and emotions in a way that few artists can achieve. Every piece feels both ancient and immediate, intimate and expansive.”
