The UAE has more than its fair share of thought-provoking museums and we reveal just four, with one yet to open but definitely worth a mention.

There is even more reason to head to the world headline-grabbing Louvre Abu Dhabi where a raft of all-new acquisitions and loans that span the globe and nearly 25 centuries await. The newly acquired pieces include the works of world-renowned artist Marc Chagall, and The Centre Pompidou has also loaned pieces from Henri Matisse and Francis Bacon. There is also a massive collection of historical artefacts and so much more than you could ever see in just one visit. For opening times visit Louvreabudhabi.ae
Al Ain palace Museum
Not only will you get to see one of the best-reinstated forts in Abu Dhabi, but it also an important historical site in the UAE. Home to the Founding Father of the UAE and the first President of the country, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (Rest in Peace), who lived here with his family until 1966. Discover how the ruling family and the community lived until the country’s transformation. The most visited section of the museum is the room that was devoted to teaching the palace residents the Holy Quran, with Hadith, that comprises the teachings and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), inscribed on the ceiling. Enter the Vortex Tunnel, the first of its kind in the UAE, where your mind will be tested. Dubai’s next cultural landmark, the striking The Museum of the Future, is almost complete and set to open this year. Once open, it will be dedicated to exploring the threats and opportunities of our time, for a better future, no less. Dubai Future Foundation’s next venture, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is incredibly detailed and is set to be a centre of learning for all, with a number of floors dedicated to different experiences.
