Sheikh Zayed Festival to return to Abu Dhabi for 2021

Abu Dhabi culture vultures it’s time to start getting excited as one of the UAE’s largest festivals is just around the corner.

The Sheikh Zayed Festival will soon see dates and events announced to coincide with National Day celebrations.

Releasing a teaser, on its social media challenges, festival organisers have confirmed that the global cultural jamboree in Al Wathba will be once again be returning for 2021. 

 

 

One of the largest cultural festivals in the UAE and selected as one of the five most important cultural events on the planet, Sheikh Zayed Festival showcases famous world architectural attractions, buzzing bazaars and folklore performances in a shindig that marries UAE and global traditions in one place.

Festival goers will have the opportunity to learn about Emirati history, culture and traditions as well as the chance to tickle the taste buds with genuine Emirati fare and international cuisine from local restaurants and food trucks. 

Last year the gathering attracted more than one million visitors from November 2020 to February 2021 to its grand pavilions and exhibitions as well as also featuring a dazzling, fireworks display and an Emirates Fountain & Laser show. 

The family-friendly event is the perfect place to bring the kids for a day out too with a number of special recreational activities encouraging youngsters to discover new skills and passions.
