Live theatre is coming to Abu Dhabi

Great shows are on-route to the capital.

It’s curtains up as live theatre comes to Erth Abu Dhabi  this October.

Abu Dhabi, known for its rich cultural tapestry is about to be thrust further into the limelight when showstoppers head to the stage of Erth’s 631-seat theatre.

Erth Abu Dhabi, formerly the Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel, and an Abu Dhabi community icon, is teaming up with Dubai’s Outside The Box Events to launch ‘’Theatre by Erth,” adding a welcome and much-needed dimension to the capital’s hospitality and entertainment offerings.

“Our investment in Theatre by Erth is intrinsically linked to the hospitality that Abu Dhabi takes pride in providing,” said Shaikha Al Kaabi, CEO Erth.

“Theatre by Erth will expand on Erth’s comprehensive leisure and dining facilities, as well as build on the brand’s ‘legacy’ to create meaningful and memorable experiences for visitors and the Abu Dhabi community to engage in.”

Outside The Box Events has already brought success to Dubai’s QE2, with Theatre by QE2. Combined with Erth Abu Dhabi’s Emirati hospitality and leisure facilities, this partnership will elevate the capital’s entertainment offering to theatre goers in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

Outside The Box Events’ CEO, Robert Duce said: “I am delighted to be able to expand the “Theatre by” brand to the UAE capital.

“I am sure we will bring an exciting variety of entertainment to Abu Dhabi. I am pleased to be able to team up with the dynamic management of Erth for this.

“We believe that the synergy of running two theatres in the UAE will help our theatre and events business grow; we are eagerly looking forward to the challenge.

“The demand for quality entertainment has been steadily on the increase, and the diversity of the population, as well as the desire to see world-class entertainment on our doorstep, has only fuelled the need for dynamic and interesting venues where the stage can be modified to suit the variety of shows we are capable of bringing to the UAE.”
