Here’s how to enter our Book of the Month competition in partnership with the Bookworm this May
To celebrate World Bee Day and our heartwarming May Book of the Month, Kind Little Hands by Kathy Urban and illustrated by Sally Garland, we’re giving young readers the chance to win a signed copy of this beautiful story.
It’s the perfect read for children aged three to eight years old.
Kind Little Hands is a gentle and uplifting picture book that reminds us how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Inspired by a real-life moment, it follows a young boy named Noah who finds a tired bee on a busy city street and decides to help.
What begins as a chance encounter becomes a heartwarming rescue mission, showing how even in urban spaces, nature is all around us and deserves our care.

How to enter:
Design a garden to attract bees and other pollinating insects.
- Get creative! Use crayons, paints, collage, labels or recycled materials—anything you like!
- Entries should be no bigger than one side of A4.
- Adults can write for younger children.
- Email your entry to [email protected]. Include your name and age with your submission.
Deadline: Submit by Friday 30 May
Winners announced: End of May
Prizes: Two lucky winners will receive a signed copy of Kind Little Hands, to be collected from the Bookworm bookshop in Dubai.
Winning entries will be featured on our website and social media.

- Entries should be no bigger than one side of A4.
- The closing date of the competition is Friday 30 May
- Only one entry per person is permitted.
- Open to UAE residents only.
- The competition is open to children aged 3-8 years.
- The winner(s) must respond within 24 hours to our message, or we reserve the right to select a new winner.
- The winners will be selected based on creativity and originality by Yalla and the Bookworm.
- Yalla reserves the right to withdraw the winner’s place and offer it to another entrant if no response from the winner has been received within 24 hours of initial contact.
- The Promoter may terminate, amend, or withdraw this competition and/or these terms and conditions at any time.
