Head to Al Ain with the family and explore the best culture has to offer

Jebel Hafit, Green Mubazzarah and more.

Nestling at the foot of the mighty Jebel Hafit and a stone’s throw away from the Omani border, Al Ain may be the smaller sibling of Abu Dhabi City but it does not fall short when it comes to great things to do.

From conquering the mighty Jebel Hafit and exploring the weird and wonderful floral and fauna of Al Ain Zoo to soaking up the rays at the Al Ain Rotana swimming pool to enjoying a game of golf, the Garden City is one place where you will never get bored.

Here are some amazing things to do in Al Ain.

JEBEL HAFIT

The emirate’s highest peak, Jebel Hafit is arguably Abu Dhabi’s most fascinating and iconic natural landmark.

Packed with archaeological treasures that date back 5,000 years to the Neolithic period, the road journey to the peak standing at 1,240 metres was announced in May as the third most popular road trip on the planet from which to snap.

And on a clear day, the top provides stunning vistas of the surrounding deserts as well as a glimpse of neighbouring Oman.

GREEN MUBAZZARAH

The beautiful green expense at the base of Jebel Hafit is known as the Green Mubazzarah.

A wonderful spot for a picnic, visitors can take a cheeky dip in the hot springs that are dotted around the base of the mountain, as well as get themselves a pic of a beautiful waterfall.

AL AIN OASIS

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the lush oasis in the centre of the city allows visitors to meander, cycle and even ride on horses beneath a thick canopy of some 147,000 date palms and other fruit trees.
