You’re going to want to bring your favourite people and your ultimate appetite for a ball of a time at Claw BBQ JBR
Red gingham tablecloths, brick walls adorned with all-American paraphernalia and the sounds of raucous laughter are just the kind of night out everyone needs, no, deserves time and again.
And again, and then once more. Claw BBQ , a waterside hotspot located at Pavilion at The Beach is an instant slice of America right in the heart of Dubai in the best ways possible. Following their move from the iconic Souq Al Bahar, the JBR venue promises stunning views of Ain Dubai, fairy-lit outdoors, and even a whole floor upstairs for a more lounge-like laidback vibe if you so pleased.
The ambience is electric, replete with vociferous arguments from the pool table, cheers from those sat in front of the massive screens airing games, and of course, the unmissatble aroma of sizzling barbecue.
But there’s so much more to love here, including the claw-sic arcade games lined across the wall ensuring there isn’t a single dull moment.

Taking a break between bites? Challenge your friends to a game of foosball. Feeling like a daredevil after more mixed drinks than you should’ve had? How about a game of Jenga? Or simply find yourself caught up in the nostalgia of playing Space Invaders for hours on end?
At Claw BBQ , the battle for supremacy is not just available, it’s free.
We left our meal in the more than capable hands of the team, leaving us free to work up an appetite and load up on some impeccable drinks. The guacamole made tableside is a showstopper, to say the least, and comes with a side of the server dancing his heart out as he smashes fresh avocados, tomatoes, and spices right before your eyes.
They also recommended the wings and shrimp doused in buffalo and BBQ sauce. Served with a creamy blue cheese dressing, these are dangerously addictive and just the perfect finger food ironically meant to be shared, but you won’t want to.
For us though, the real star of the show was the rack of ribs — so tender we found ourselves reaching for seconds and thirds despite protesting waistbands. The king crab mac and cheese was possibly the only dish that while indulgent and comforting, paled in comparison to the rest of the starry line-up.
As the night wears on and the music fills the air, you can’t help but be swept up in the infectious vibes of Claw. People are warm, well-fed, swaying along to the music and almost impatient to sweep you on the dance floor as well. It’s the perfect quality outing for friends and family, and potentially the chance to make some new ones too!
While we didn’t make it to dessert this time (just another excuse to revisit), this is one spot that might just deserve to be pricey.
