Harrow International School is set to open in Dubai in 2026, welcoming up to 2,000 pupils

One of the UK’s most historic school names is arriving in Dubai.

Harrow International School is opening a second UAE campus in the city.

The new school, launched in partnership with UAE education provider Taaleem, will be situated on Hessa Street and will welcome its first pupils in August 2026.

Built on a 50,000-square-metre site near key residential communities, the school will eventually cater to around 2,000 students.

Harrow Dubai will admit pupils from Early Years to Year 6 in its first phase, with gradual expansion planned over time. Applications are expected to open in September 2025.

The school will follow the British curriculum, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, leadership, sport, and the performing arts—hallmarks of the Harrow educational approach.

Dual launch for Harrow in the UAE

This announcement confirms the launch of Harrow International Schools in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Harrow Dubai is the second of Taaleem’s ‘super-premium’ schools to be announced, following the February 2025 confirmation of Harrow International School Abu Dhabi, set to open on Saadiyat Island.

Both campuses are scheduled to open for the 2026–27 academic year.

The Dubai school is being purpose-built by UK-based architects KODA and will feature state-of-the-art science laboratories, performing arts studios, and modern sports facilities.

Harrow’s signature values—academic achievement, character development, and leadership—will be embedded throughout school life.

Founded in 1572, Harrow School in the UK has educated generations of influential leaders and public figures, from Winston Churchill and Jawaharlal Nehru to King Hussein of Jordan and notable names in the arts and sports.

The Dubai campus aims to honour that legacy while offering a dynamic and inclusive environment for globally minded families.

For parents in the UAE, it marks another exciting chapter in the country’s evolving and world-class education landscape.
