Young reciters across the UAE showcase their talent, celebrating faith, tradition, and excellence
GEMS Jumeirah College Dubai hosted its much-anticipated Al-Kiraam Al-Bararaah interschool Quran recitation competition, bringing together over 1,000 students from 125 schools across the UAE.
Now in its third year, the event celebrates young voices as they master the art of recitation while deepening their connection to Islamic heritage and the Arabic language.
The competition culminated in an uplifting awards ceremony attended by educators, religious leaders, and community members, where Her Excellency Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher Bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum honoured the top participants.
Ten outstanding students were recognised for their exceptional recitation skills, and ten students in the People of Determination category were also celebrated for their achievements.
Nicholas Brain, Principal and CEO of Jumeirah College, expressed his pride in the students and highlighted the initiative’s significance in fostering a strong connection to cultural heritage and moral values.
Mohamed Nabhan, Head of Arabic A and the Islamic Department at Jumeirah College, said: “This event reflects our collective dedication to preserving Islamic heritage and fostering a love for the Arabic language. We are proud to support such an important endeavour, which not only strengthens students’ faith but also instils the values of discipline, respect, and perseverance.”
Congratulations to all!
