Abu Dhabi Summer Sports is kicking off and here is what you can do

The event will take place at the ADNEC centre.

It’s time to throw off the shackles of the TV and sofa and get your sports gear on as Abu Dhabi Summer Sports is about to kick off.

The initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) will see members of the public encouraged to follow a healthy lifestyle and engage in sports and physical exercise during the summer.

Held at the ADNEC centre from 1 July to 31 August in Hall 8 to 12, you can work up a sweat on more than 25 indoor tracks and fields, three football fields, two five-a-side football fields, eight mini-tennis courts, three basketball courts, three badminton courts and three volleyball courts.

There will also be a cricket pitch and a CrossFit track, in addition to a kilometre long running track.

HE Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said; “The Abu Dhabi Summer Sports provides an ideal opportunity for visitors of all ages to practice sports activities in the summer season in a suitable and enjoyable atmosphere for all.

“We invite everyone to participate and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle through daily practice.”

 

 

Open seven-days-a-week from 8am to 1am, there will also be food trucks for you to refuel after your sporting exertions as well as a retail area.
