Never two-tyred to pedal for a good cause!

Cyclist Generic Image Cycle For Operation Smile'S 40Th Anniversary.

It’s Operation Smile’s 40th anniversary and your chance to have some fun in the sun.

Winter is coming (hopefully!), and getting out to soak in the last few rays seems like a better idea every day. So how about the chance to do something fun for a good cause?

In honour of Operation Smile’s 40th anniversary, Hudayriyat Island is all set to host the UAE Operation Smile 40k Cycle Race. A part of the registration fee will go towards supporting the care of patients with cleft lip and cleft palate conditions.

The race is scheduled for 6 November, Sunday,  in collaboration with Gulf Multi Sport,  Wolfi’s Bike Shop and Abu Dhabi Cycling Club.

For the adults, there’s a 40k Cycle Race that will commence 6.45am. There’s also a Junior Only Race for the kids of 10k, which starts at 8am. Of course, there’s a ride for the whole family as well scheduled at 8.30am.

A bespoke Cycle For Smiles medal is dangling as a sweet little incentive for all participants at the end of the race. The initiative by the global charity ride is one among many that aim to combine passion, determination and community. The race is set to celebrate Operation Smile’s four decades of transforming children’s lives around the world through comprehensive cleft care.

In accordance with COVID-19 policies, participants over 16 must be vaccinated or have the appropriate waiver. You also need a green pass on the ALHOSN app, valid for 30 days. Competitors under 16 irrespective of full vaccination need to display a green pass too.
