The Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival will take place at the beginning of May
The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) and the Sharjah Volunteer Centre are inviting volunteers of all nationalities to participate in the 15th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF).
Taking place from 1 to 12 May at the Sharjah Expo Centre, the event will feature workshops, panels, and showcases of local and international children’s literature. They are expected to commit to the 12-day event, choosing between morning and evening shifts.
Volunteers provide assistance to participants and visitors, aiding technical support and finance teams, and guiding visitors through festival activities.

The festival, known for its interactive workshops and esteemed awards, welcomes authors, illustrators, and publishers, fostering a love for reading among children and young adults.
The aim of the event is to enrich children’s imaginations and present opportunities for them to make life-long friends through reading.
It’s an ecstatic celebration that goes beyond one age group, enriching the whole family whilst instilling a love of reading in the youngest of children.
