Pencilled in to take place between 27 August and 11 September, the tournament has been moved to the UAE from Sri Lanka due to the political unrest on the island.
The announcement was made by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly.
The Asia Cup sees six sides battle it out in an annual tournament of T20 internationals.
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already secured their places in the tournament.
The UAE will do battle with Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore in the qualifier tournament at the beginning of August to see who secures the last berth.
Venues for the tournament will be released at a later date.
But the Asia Cup isn’t the only tournament the UAE’s cricket fans have to look forward to in the coming months.
