Running from 9 October to 25 December, the theme this year centre’s around A Season for Regrounding.
Starting 9 October, the Warehouse421 Fall 2022 Programme: A Season for Regrounding is all set to get Abu Dhabi tapping into its cultural roots.
On until Christmas, the programme includes a wide-ranging schedule of events including workshops, talks and special events that explore creative and communal approaches to thinking about local food security and ecologies.
Throughout the programme, they respond to the themes addressed in the major group exhibition On Foraging: Food Security and Environmental Imaginaries in the UAE’s Landscape.

Fall 2022 Exhibitions
On view from 9 October to 25 December is one of the major exhibitions by Mohammed Khalid. Titled ‘Let me tell you something’, the solo exhibition is part of the Artistic Development Exhibition Program in partnership with The Institute for Emerging Art. Catch it at Gallery 1.
The other major exhibition on display is titled ‘On Foraging: Food Knowledge and Environmental Imaginaries in the UAE’s Landscape’. Curated by Dima Srouji, Faysal Tabbarah, and Meitha Almazrooei, you can catch the same at Gallery 2.
Jamming sessions: A live Home-cooking series
With the pandemic bringing out the best of home cooks, here’s a series to enable the culinary skills in all of the capital.
Starting on 15 October, there’s a session by Kahk and Sahlab with Andy & Jacky. From 2pm to 4pm, it’s the first to kick off the series. Next up on 12 November is Warak Rolling with Haya’s Kitchen, held at the same time as the previous. In the following month on 26, there’s Pickling with Sondos & Cima with A Breakfast with the Jyothishs on 11 December concluding it all.
Playing with Nature
Running from 29-30 October, here’s an outdoor eco-conscious market for the whole family to enjoy. Starting from 4pm and running till 10pm, the place is also pet-friendly.
Food tours and excursions across Abu Dhabi
There’s no better way to soak in Abu Dhabi’s culture than through some immersive tours scattered across the emirate.
On 17 December is perhaps the most impressive food performance lecture in the mountains. Led by the artists Nahla Tabba and Moza Almatrooshi, the Food Excursion is entitled Dinner in the Mountains and promises a spectacle for all attendees.
Before that, there’s also the workshop titled Neighborhood Food Tour with Zain Mustafa on 23 October.
Sustainable filmmaking course
Conducted by Greener Screen Writing Lab, the professional development course is one for all budding filmmakers. For three days starting 28 October, don’t miss out on the chance to nurture your skill, or partake in it for some cinematic fun!
