You’re not going to believe this! Guess what’s coming to the capital?
It’s the incredible Wireless Festival no less, which is set to debut in Abu Dhabi on 4 March 2023 and we’re so excited.
Wireless, the UK’s urban music festival, is a rap and urban music festival taking place every year in London that focuses on hip hop and other urban music with headline that have included Jay-Z, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Stormzy among others.
Wireless Festival 2023 is just one of the huge music events heading to the capital as part of the recently announced Abu Dhabi Calendar spanning an incredible 180 days by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) during a TV talk show-style launch event.
Although the festival will showcase some of the biggest international hip hop stars, a platform will also be provided for local artists too.
On the Abu Dhabi debut of Wireless Festival, James Craven, President of Live Nation MENA, said: “With more than 200 nationalities living in the UAE, it is important we constantly track changing music tastes that are reflective of such a diverse population.
“Hip Hop remains one of the most popular genres throughout the region and the launch of Wireless Festival in Abu Dhabi next March will be a huge draw to urban music fans throughout the region.
“The festival will showcase some of the biggest international hip hop stars but will also provide a platform for local artists too.”
