A beachfront course, closed roads and three disciplines make this Dubai triathlon a challenge for newcomers and seasoned racers alike
The GRIT+TONIC.com Triathlon: Mamzar Race 1 returns to Mamzar Beach Park, Dubai, on 25 October.
Organised by Super Sports, the race combines open-water swimming, cycling and running on a scenic beachfront course.
The swim takes place in the calm waters of Mamzar Beach Park bay, with lifeguards positioned throughout the course.
Cyclists take on traffic-free, double-lane roads before runners head onto a dedicated route inside the park.
Designed for a broad range of abilities, the event offers a way for first-timers to try triathlon while giving experienced athletes a chance to chase faster times.
Not ready to tackle all three disciplines? Relay teams of two or three can split the race between them.
A race village with music, aid stations and family-friendly viewing adds to the community feel.
Tickets are priced from AED 200 to AED 330, and early entry is recommended as the race typically reaches capacity.
