Care for more than 46,000 animals at The National Aquarium.
Aspiring Jacques Cousteaus will have a chance to indulge their passions and curiosities as The National Aquarium has launched the Junior Marine Biologist programme.
The new initiative designed to cater for five to 15 years old will see students place themselves inside the shoes of a marine biologist and experience what it’s like to care for 300 different species and more than 46,000 animals, inside the Middle East’s largest aquarium.
Enrollees will have the chance to see behind-the-scenes at the sea life centre where The National Aquarium’s staff will guide them through immersive experience and engage them in caring for the aquarium’s diverse animal population.
Kids will even have the opportunity to feed the animals and take part in daily checks at the aquarium’s husbandry programme.
The Junior Marine Biologists will also assist in the caring and nurturing of rescued sea turtles from the Wildlife Rescue Programme as part of The National Aquarium’s conservation education programme.
Priced at AED 350 per child, the programme is available for booking on Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 7pm and on Fridays from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
To set them on their aquatic way, email the National Aquarium on [email protected].
