Looking to get up close and personal with wildlife in Abu Dhabi?
Umm Al Emarat Park will be offering mini-zoologists a chance to meet and greet parrots, birds of prey, snakes this October through various animal pop-ups.
In partnership with Al Ain Zoo, on 15 October visitors can marvel at the power of various birds of prey from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Three days later on 18 October, the cold-blooded reptiles will take centre stage with snakes some of the highlights from 5pm to 7pm before parrots will brighten up your evening on 22 October from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
Keepers and handlers will be on the grounds at all times imparting some cool facts about the famous guests.
Head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communication Department, Rasha Kablawi said it was an exciting chance for visitors to meet these animals in the capital city.
She said: “Umm Al Emarat Park provides its visitors, and more specifically children, a chance to learn more about animals by interacting with them at the Park’s Animal Barn and Petting Zoo.
“Building on our already-existing partnership with Al Ain Zoo, we’re excited to host this three-day pop-up event that will give visitors the chance to meet and greet these particular animals that are incredibly fascinating.”
The park is already home to other animals including rabbits, tortoises, pygmy goats, camels, and emu birds and guests can take a ride on a pony or camel.
