8 wonderful Eid family things to do in Abu Dhabi this holiday break

Meeting dinosaurs, firing arrows, visiting Al Ain and more.

The Eid Al-Fitr break in Abu Dhabi is nearly upon us and you’re no doubt wondering what to do to keep the kids occupied.

Don’t worry as Team Yalla has selected some cool activities for you and your family by which to be entertained.

Are you ready for smiling faces?

Here are six wonderful family things to do this Eid Al-Fitr holiday break in Abu Dhabi.

JURASSIC PARK

Travel back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the earth as Manarat Al Saadiyat showcases Stan, a 39-foot long, 67-million-old-year, Tyrannosaurus Rex.

The monstrous fossil is a part of an exhibition taster from the National History Museum Abu Dhabi due to open in 2025.

And when you have finished off having a roaring good time with Stan and his other fossil friends, enjoy a slice of Italy (and happiness) with a pizza in the fabulously stylish Larte – there is even a fabulous terrace!

TAKE AIM

Showcase your skills as a sniper or hit the bull’s eye with an arrow, Al Forsan International Sports Resort has a family-friendly target for you and the family to put in your crosshairs.

Archery, pistol shooting, clay shooting and the sniper range are just some of the shooting activities to be enjoyed.

But if the little ones have a need for speed, take to the Commission Internationale De Karting track to see who is the fastest (and who will be left furious).

And when the winners have been crowned, tuck into appetising dishes at Kishi and Como.

HORSE AROUND

Experience the sound of nearly 150,000 palm trees rustling in a gentle breeze on horseback in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al Ain Oasis.

A 90-minute drive from the capital, get lost in nature as you clip-clop through sprawling pathways that are shaded by the vibrant canopy of trees blooming with fruits like dates, mangoes, oranges and bananas in the heart of the Garden City.

And for those who want to learn more about this natural phenomenon, take a tour at the Eco-Centre free-of-charge.
