Looking for a chance to get outdoors into the fresh air with the family this weekend in Abu Dhabi?
Jubail Mangrove Park is holding an open day this Friday (29 October) where children and parents can discover the wonderful nature that the mangroves contain.
Park rangers will take families on guided, educational tours around the mangroves, focusing on the historical significance of the habitat as well as the wildlife that can be found in the shrubbery and waters. Little explorers can even enrol in JMP’s Becoming a Little Ranger programme available on the day.
There is also the opportunity to learn more about the fascinating mangrove forest with new activities including mangrove seeding and the clean, conserve and protect mangroves workshop being introduced to JMP’s timetable for 2021.
After the learning, it’s time for some active fun with kayaking and paddle boarding offering visitors a different perspective of the mangroves from the water.
If you wish to stay on terra firma, you can stroll along the 2.3km boardwalk and even get involved in a spot of yoga.
And for when the hunger pangs start to rumble, guests can grab themselves something delicious from the assortment of food trucks that will be on site for the day.
JMP’s open day will welcome guests from 7am to 11pm and to gain entry, all visitors must present a green pass on their Al Hosn app.
