The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) presents its Summer Programme ‘Around the World’ offering numerous activities and workshops that will be held across all branches of its public libraries.
The Programme features a range of activities designed to meet the interests of children and youth and provide them with psychological, environmental and social knowledge, as well as technical skills in various fields. The Programme also familiarises participants with many global cultures, as participants will learn from various sources of knowledge through series of reading activities and performances.
The ‘Around the World’ Summer Programme’s activities will take place at Khalifa Park Library, Al Bahia Park Library, Mazyad Mall Library, Al Wathba Library, Zayed Central Library and Al Marfa Library across the Emirate.
The Summer Programme is offered for the following age groups:
• 6 – 10 years old
• 11 – 14 years old
• 15 – 18 years old

- The Reading Challenge (30 Books from Around the World)
Enjoy a fun trip with 30 varied and fun summer books with Maktaba - The Young Librarian
Culture, activities, various books and many introductory workshops with the junior Librarian - Learning French
Let’s learn the language that is ranked fifth in terms of the most spoken languages in the world in a pleasant and exciting atmosphere - Art Workshops (workshops on découpage, recycling, origami, toy making and basics of pencil shading and using watercolours)
Paper clips, cheerful colors and fun graphics, turn them into beautiful art with the art of dicopage, origami and many others - The Hakawati Storytelling Workshop (The Story of the Ogre, The Smiles Factory, When the Pen Sleeps, My Dear Country, The Tale of Al-Tanbooli)
