The ITU World Triathlon Series is set to bring the very best of triathlon and entertainment back to Abu Dhabi’s iconic Yas Island on 8 – 9 March 2019.
The Daman World Triathlon Abu Dhabi kicks off the global triathlon season with a fast and furious race between the world’s best triathletes, right here in the UAE’s capital. Can South Africa’s Henri Schoeman and the Netherlands’ Rachel Klamer defend their titles?
Alongside the elite race, 2,500 age group triathletes from all over the world take part in the age-group races, junior races, Family 1km Run Fun as well as a dedicated para-triathlete and Special Olympic waves – making the Daman World Triathlon Abu Dhabi the largest and most inclusive triathlon in the Middle East.
For those not racing, there is an abundance of family-friendly entertainment in the Event Village, tasty treats from the food trucks, a Kids’ Zone to entertainment the little ones, viewing platforms to watch loved ones race, and incredible tourist attractions in close proximity to the race. If there’s one thing for certain, the Daman World Triathlon Abu Dhabi is much more than a swim, a bike and a run!
