Le Trio Joubran: The Long March

Witness a powerful and emotional performance from the best known Palestinian musicians, Le Trio Joubran at Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Coming from a long line of oud players, Le Trio Joubran are virtuoso musicians. The three brothers – Samir, Wissam and Adnan play this traditionally solo instrument so harmoniously, that they become one.

The three brothers continue a tradition of Arabic oud music and also celebrate the culture of their home country, Palestine, by setting the words of renowned poet Mahmoud Darwish to music.

Formed in 2004, they have now become a worldwide success. The famed oud trio have played many prestigious international venues, from the Olympia in Paris to Carnegie Hall in New York to the United Nations, entertaining sold-out crowds.

Accompanied on stage by percussionist Youssef Hbeisch, their compositions leave room for their exceptional improvisational talent. All it takes is just a glance between the musicians for their three voices to quickly become one. Playing for one night only, under the museum’s dome, this promises to be a magical performance.
