Marking 10 years since its first programme, The Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF) brings together more than 150 artists from 45 countries to celebrate fine art, photography, sculpture, film and poetry from around the UAE.
Running from February 4 to Thursday 31 March 2022, this year’s theme is titled The Journey and artists have been asked to base their entries through the lens of ancestry, migration, national identity and personal growth.
A nonprofit community arts festival designed to showcase the work of local and emerging artists, the featured artists this year is Emirati Yousef Al Zaabi who specialises street photography.
Located at Al Jazirah Al Hamra Heritage Village home, the festival will also host satellite exhibitions at Jebel Jais and Al Marjan Island.
