Take a trip back to the 90s with Manarat Al Saadiyat’s new exhibition, Zemanna.
Showcasing the beginning of major change in the country’s population when it was characterised by the presence of street vendors and colourful neon-lit dukkan signs, the exhibit, running until 13 June 2022, attempts to answer the question ‘What led to the 1990s and what did the 1990s lead to?’
Curated by Munira Al Sayegh with Dirwaza Curatorial Lab, the exhibit will showcase nine interactive installations from Afra Al Dhaheri; Aisha Al Ahmadi; Alaa Edris; Fadel Al Mheiri; Ghada Al Sayegh and Maytha Al Shamsi; Jumairy; Mays Albaik; Rawdha Al Ketbi; and Sree.
