Hakkasan Abu Dhabi marks 20 years with celebratory menu

Limited-edition menu is inspired by the original servings.

Can you call yourself a Chinese cuisine connoisseur in Abu Dhabi if you haven’t graced Hakkasan Abu Dhabi with your presence?

The world-renowned restaurant that serves up tasty offerings from the Far East is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2021 and to mark the occasion, a special menu has been crafted, taking inspiration from the original food card from Hanway Place in London 20 years ago.

Team Yalla went along to the Emirates Palace based joint to get their chops around the limited-edition, three-course menu, specially designed by Group Executive Chef Andrew Yeo.

Once seats have been taken in the intimate venue, guests can expect to kick off the session with a trio of dim sum, packed with scallop shui mai, langoustine har gau and abalone and chicken and the wonderfully aesthetic, steamed hand dived scallop.

Next up is the mains of tender chunks of stir fry black pepper rib-eye beef, sweet pieces of oatmeal seabass, a tasty golden mixed vegetable yam ring and the wonderful supreme stock of braised lobster that is accompanied by egg noodles and lobster wontons is dished out to you at the table.

Should there be any room left in the tank, the eating is rounded off by a plum and vanilla dessert with caramelised chocolate cream, with the obligatory Hakkasan razzle dazzle provided by a piece of gold on the red, sugar ring – perfect for those in the group who love documenting their food adventures on Instagram.

Drinks that you can slurp back with your meal include the return of one of Hakkasan’s famous mixed drinks as well as a glass of bubbly from Louis Roederer.

The menu will set you back AED 488 per head but for a special evening out, it is well worth shelling out an extra few dirhams.

Is your mouth drooling?

To book yourself a chance to tickle your tastebuds with the 20th anniversary menu, visit Hakkasan Abu Dhabi but you better be quick as it is only available until 18 September.
