A staycation on this island in Abu Dhabi means you’ll get to play on one of the UAE’s best beaches.
Saadiyat Island is simply a must to include on your staycation bucket list, even more so since, we think, it has one of the beaches in the UAE, with this particular one as good as the ones found in the Maldives.
Team Yalla recently stayed at St Regis, Saadiyat Island Resort, being the first time that we stayed here and it will certainly not be the last!
The resorts beautiful Mediterranean architecture is set among manicured gardens filled with lush foliage. The pools, adult only and family, are set to the backdrop of Saadiyat Beach with its turquoise waters and pristine white sand. There is even a splendid golf course that subtly intertwines around the hotel.
Of course, as well as the magnificent offerings, what makes a hotel stand out is its staff. In this case, they were superb and are ready to assist with any request.
The resort’s rooms are sumptuous with luxurious, sprawling bathrooms, beautiful décor and wide balconies. The bathrooms themselves surrender a huge deep, cavernous bathtub that you could luxuriate in for hours. There is also a walk-through shower and his and her washbasins, finessed with a marble interior.
The bedrooms are spacious, with some of the most inviting comfortable beds we have ever experienced. There is ample space and should the need arise, there is ample desk space for those working moments.
It is great if you are taking a teen family along, since there is ample opportunity for them to be independent. With so much on offer, your teens will happily spend the days swimming, playing tennis and going to the gym and also squeezing in a little schoolwork when they have time, especially when exams are looming.
Dining is another brilliant experience.
Starting with a truly magnificent breakfast until 1pm every day, which – wait for it – includes a chocolate fountain, much to the delight of all. The array of dishes is stunning and there is even an a la carte egg menu, not to mention breakfast fare for all international visitors.
Alongside breakfast, there are many stand out restaurants at St Regis Saadiyat Island including Signature, Sontaya and Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi, all of which offer a delicious range of cuisine. The sunset drinks at Manhattan or Buddha-Bar Beach Abu Dhabi are not to be missed!
A great stay was had by all and a return visit is simply a must.
