Rangoli reopens to the world with a new look and fantastic menu

One of Abu Dhabi’s favourite Indian restaurants is back.

PARTNER CONTENT: Blending tradition with contemporary design, Rangoli at Yas Island Rotana is as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the palate. The restaurant that espouses the flavours of India has revealed a new look that sees guests welcomed with a giant urli with floating flower that emits a royal glow in the heart of the venue.

Place yourself at your table and admire Indian pop-art that adorns the walls. Sectioned into quadrants full of colours and flavours, choose your dining area from a choice of Rang-e-bahar and Rang-e-khass for private dining, the Rang-e-mehfil for family dining, the Rang-e-mehal for fine dining, the shisha Verandah and the Rang-e-star for al fresco poolside dining.

Once settled turn your attention to a new menu that has been superbly curated by Michelin Star Chef Jitin Joshi and Head Chef Sadab Qureshi who showcases his culinary skills over the tandoor from the open kitchen. As you embrace Rangoli’s true essence of happiness, positivity and liveliness, cast your eyes on new signature dishes like Crab Shorba cooked in a curry leaf in coconut mil and seasoned with flavoursome Indian spices.

For those who enjoy seafood with a sub-continental twist, plump for the Machi Tawa Masala which sees whole sea bass coated with a spicy marinade yoghurt or the Lobster Masala Fry that sees jumbo lobsters coated in masala and expertly cooked to perfection on the griddle and tossed with onion, ground spices and coriander.

However, for something truly indulgent, choose the house specialty of Raan-E-Awadh that takes slow-roasted, whole baby lamb leg and tosses it in butter before being drizzled in lime juice.

As you tuck into your glorious meal, sip on inventive mixed drinks like KumKum, Half Moon, Tulsi and Bho-Gol.

And when it’s time for dessert, satisfy the quivering sweet tooth with moreish options like Moong Dal Halwa or Gulab Jamun Kunafa for a light but sweet ending.

But the delicious surprises from Rangoli don’t stop there. Famed for inviting some of the world’s best chefs to demonstrate their supreme skills in the kitchen such as the aforementioned Chef Jitin Joshi, the restaurant will once again be going all out in October with one of the biggest names in the culinary world of Indian cuisine set to man the kitchen for Diwali.
