A journey through Asia: Shangri-La Dubai unveils signature culinary offerings

Shangri-la dubai new menu launch

The hotel’s acclaimed restaurants Shang Palace and Hoi An debut new menus

From delicate dim sum to fragrant pho, guests are invited to embark on a culinary voyage through the heart of Asia, right in the heart of Dubai.

Tucked within the skyline of Sheikh Zayed Road, Shangri-La Dubai is crafting something extraordinary: a sensory journey across the Far East through the art of cuisine.

This summer, two of the hotel’s most iconic dining destinations, Shang Palace and Hoi An, are unveiling new menus, reimagined experiences, and authentic flavours that transport diners to the bustling streets of Beijing and the soulful kitchens of Hanoi.

At the helm of this culinary evolution is a team of master chefs who bring not only technique, but also heritage to the table, blending passion, precision, and the richness of cultural storytelling into every dish.

Cantonese heritage, reimagined at Shang Palace

Recently recognised in the Michelin Guide Dubai 2025, Shang Palace remains a cornerstone of refined Chinese dining in the UAE.

Under the guidance of Executive Chef Peter Lau, whose expertise spans China’s most storied kitchens, the new à la carte menu dives deep into the regional diversity of Cantonese cuisine.

Each dish is a chapter; written in spices, textures, and centuries-old techniques.

You can expect a menu that honours tradition yet evolves with modern flair: from the iconic Peking Duck, roasted to crispy perfection, to handcrafted dim sum, delicate and artfully presented, to wok-fried seafood bursting with umami.

Two new weekend experiences add even more flavour:

Dim Sum Brunch (Saturdays) – An indulgent feast of unlimited dumplings, live cooking stations, and elegantly reimagined classics.

AED 288 (soft drinks), AED 388 (house beverages), AED 588 (free-flow bubbly)

Family Social Lunch (Sundays)

A relaxed, family-style Cantonese lunch with generous sharing portions, made for meaningful connections.

AED 188 per person

Vietnam’s culinary soul at Hoi An

Just steps away, Hoi An is a hidden gem that pulses with the warmth and flavour of Vietnam.

Staffed entirely by Vietnamese chefs, the restaurant brings not just authenticity but a sense of home; from the careful preparation of broths simmered for hours to the hand-chopped herbs and sauces that carry the spirit of the streets of Saigon and Hanoi.

A culinary destination in the heart of the city

In a city constantly hungry for the next great bite, Shangri-La Dubai doesn’t just serve food; it crafts experiences.

With culinary concepts rooted in authenticity and delivered with finesse, the hotel continues to redefine what it means to dine well in Dubai.

For those who seek more than a meal; who crave a story told in every course, Shang Palace and Hoi An are ready to welcome you.
