The new restaurant in Dubai brings its signature fusion of fine food, striking design and magnetic nightlife

The iconic North London dining destination, The Banc, has officially landed in Dubai, bringing its signature fusion of fine food, striking design, and magnetic nightlife to the Renaissance Business Bay Hotel.

Since its founding in 2011, The Banc has carved out a cult following in London; beloved by locals and visited by stars.

Now, its Dubai outpost raises the bar, offering a sleeker, more refined take on the original. Just a month since its debut, The Banc Dubai has already drawn celebrity heavyweights like boxing legend Anthony Joshua and chart-topping artist Quavo through its doors.

Inspired by its birthplace, a repurposed Barclays Bank in North London, The Banc Dubai nods to its heritage with a visually captivating interior.

At the heart of the bar, a dramatic circular vault door commands attention, surrounded by mischievous Fornasetti art featuring masked female figures.

The decor is rich with detail: bespoke wallpaper, curated artworks, and elegant circular motifs blend with soft ambient lighting and lush greenery to create a space that feels both intimate and theatrical.

Outdoors, the terrace and shisha lounge provide a breezy, laid-back counterpoint to the buzzing dining room, with nightly DJ sets that turn dinner into an experience.

At its core, The Banc is all about Mediterrasian cuisine; an inventive blend of Mediterranean and Asian influences, meticulously presented and packed with flavour.

The menu is a celebration of craft and creativity, where every dish tells a story.

Start strong with the Bluefin Tuna Tataki (AED 135), elevated by coriander emulsion and crispy leek, or dive into the Lamb Kebab (AED 78), served with smoky pepper aioli and sharp red onion salad.

The Slow Cooked Wagyu Short Rib (AED 224), meltingly tender over cauliflower purée and crispy onions, is a standout, while the Alaskan Crab Leg (AED 198) glistens with herb-butter decadence.

The crown jewel? A showstopping 1.2kg Wagyu Tomahawk (AED 1,350), served with chimichurri, seasonal greens, and golden fries; perfect for sharing, or not.

Desserts are no afterthought. The Truffle (AED 75), with white truffle ice cream and almond crumble, is pure indulgence, while the Pavlova (AED 45) surprises with its yuzu-lemon curd, matcha mascarpone, and candied lemon; a refreshing finale.

Founded by brothers Mazlum and Can Topcu alongside childhood friend Fabio Teixeira, The Banc is a passion project turned institution.

With Fabio holding down the fort in London, Mazlum and Can have relocated to Dubai to personally oversee the new venture.

In a city known for its dazzling culinary scene, The Banc makes its mark with substance, soul, and style.

Whether for a languid lunch, a lively evening out, or a late-night rendezvous, The Banc Dubai is poised to become the beating heart of Business Bay.
