The sun sets on Beach House’s summer hiatus

Insta-tastic views and cool vibes beside the sea.

Autumn has arrived and with the drop in temperatures to optimal levels, some of our favourite hangouts are re-emerging from their summer slumber.

One such venue is the gorgeous Beach House at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island and Team Yalla had the pleasure of being there for the reopening of the beachside locale on Wednesday evening.

Nestled just beyond the awesome pool, the establishment is an amazing location for a get-together with friends after work, a place to impress your parents and or a romantic date with endless vista of the pristine white sand of Saadiyat, the clear blue water of the Arabian Gulf and the most beautiful sunsets you will lay your eyes on in the capital.

Arriving stylishly early (we take our evenings out very seriously at Yalla), we head to the rooftop bar, Shala which was also reappearing after a seasonal hibernation. Easy listening beats fill the air from the venue’s resident DJ and from our lofty perch, we take in stunning views of the beach, sea, and of course, the memorising sight of the sun hanging his hat for the day, changing from yellow to red.

A spot for those who love Instagram with its stunning backdrops, white furniture and soft brown hues, remember to arrive with a fully charged phone as you are going to be taking plenty of snaps to make your followers green with envy.

With the big yellow finally disappearing for the day, we move down to the Beach House for a nine-course feast.

Famed for its seafood (try the dirty mellow rice when you’re here), we tuck into the likes of flatbread covered in smoked salmon, fennel, capers and sour cream and then black Angus beef carpaccio for staters before gobbling up Waygu meatballs and sea bass baked in rock salt.

The outside terrace is decked out with plenty of tables and the gentle table lights create an atmosphere that makes it impossible not to smile.

With bellies full, Team Yalla decides to call it a night (we do have work in the morning); however, those looking to continue the evening can do so on the uber comfortable sofas where they can admire the work of the DJ and enjoy shisha.

The Beach House is back and we will be too.
